The Smokey Lane Trio

Members of The Smokey Lane Trio have been performing together in various musical configurations locally and internationally since 1991, including Pandora's Groove, The Sugar Kings, Mosaic, Count Floyd, The Grownups, and Poppa Stoppa. Collectively representing over 45 years of professional musical experience and three college degrees in music, the trio formed in August 2002 for two very important reasons: the chance to perform musically fun and challenging compositions in every style of music, and to provide an alternative to buyers seeking a high degree of professionalism and dependability at a competitive price.

The members consist of singer/saxophonist Matt Dickson, guitarist Perry Isreal, and Trumpeter/Musical Director Guido Ritchie, doubling on keyboards. One viewing of their extensive song list illustrates their versatility in a variety of musical settings from wedding ceremonies, receptions, private engagements involving diverse audiences, and nightclubs. Collectively they have performed/opened shows for such artists as Kenny Rogers, Mose Allison, Clark Terry, Ron Carter, Charles Thomas, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Joe Sample, Run DMC, The Spinners, Edgar Winter, The Coasters, Take 6, Larry Carlton, and Bernie Worrell (Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame inductee and founding member of Parliament Funkadelic). All three members have performed in a number of local, regional, and national theatrical performances for the Arkansas Rep, in Branson, Missouri, and for various production companies. Their studio work includes recording for First Impressions, Mosaic, Burger, and various commercial jingles including HBO's The Chris Rock Show.

Equally adept in a variety of musical styles including Frank Sinatra style "crooning", Motown, R&B, 70s funk, classical, rock, and jazz, The Smokey Lane Trio is capable of providing a night of any one style or a mixture of all styles depending on your event's needs.
